Check your acupuncture insurance benefits
Send your plan details once and we will verify your acupuncture benefits with the carrier — Empire Plan (NYSHIP), UnitedHealthcare and Oxford, out-of-network Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna and others — then come back to you with what your plan actually pays, before you book anything.
1
Send your card
Photograph the front and back of your insurance card, or type in the member and group numbers. It takes a minute.
2
We check with the carrier
We verify the acupuncture benefit, visit limits, deductible, copay, and whether we are in or out of network for your plan.
3
You get real numbers
We come back in plain English with what is covered, what is not, and what a course of care would cost you.
Benefits check
Everything beyond your name and a way to reach you is optional. If you would rather just ask a question, leave the insurance section closed.
Patients come to the clinic from Huntington, Huntington Station, Melville, Commack, Dix Hills, Northport, Greenlawn, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Smithtown, Plainview and Syosset.
Questions patients ask
Do you take insurance for acupuncture?
It depends on your plan, not on a guess. Many Long Island patients have acupuncture benefits through The Empire Plan (NYSHIP), UnitedHealthcare and Oxford, or out-of-network coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna and Cigna. Send your plan details through the form on this page and we will contact the carrier, verify your acupuncture benefit and tell you what it pays, what your deductible and copay are, and what you would owe out of pocket — before you book.
How long does a benefits check take?
We work through them during clinic hours and usually come back to you within one to two business days with the numbers in plain English.
What do you need from me?
Your name, date of birth, the carrier, your member ID and group number — or just clear photos of the front and back of your insurance card, which is faster and avoids typos.
What if my plan does not cover acupuncture?
Then we tell you that straight, and you decide. Self-pay patients start with the $100 evaluation, which includes a written treatment plan, and we can provide a superbill you can submit to your plan yourself where that applies.
Is a benefits check a guarantee that my plan will pay?
No. A verification reflects what the carrier tells us about your plan that day. Final payment is determined by the carrier when the claim is processed, and we will always say what is confirmed and what is not.
Is my insurance card information safe?
Your details go to our own server, are stored where the public web cannot reach them, and are seen only by clinic staff. They are not shared with advertisers or used for marketing.
Rather talk it through?
Call the clinic and we will walk through your plan with you, or book the $100 evaluation and we will check your benefits before the visit.
